TASTE OF ROSWELL - 10/20, Tickets 50 cents, Food 50 cents to $3.00

GROVEWAY Community Group-Regular Meeting Moved - 10/23, 7 p.m.

October is a very busy month! We started off with the Block Captains Meeting on 10/9. The only one present was Gail. My fault for not following up with the telephone to those Captains who do not have computer access. Sorry I wasn't there due to illness. But really ladies, why did not one of you show up? I know you are getting reminders from our Google Calendar. I promise to make those calls next time. I really felt bad because Gail sat there all by her self. What is this showing Groveway & United Way about us? Don't we care anymore? I know most of you are working and have children and families to take care of, however, this Residents Helping Residents Group should come under that same care because it is all about "Families". Please MAKE time for these meetings and contribute to this Newsletter. We need your input, this is not a dictatorship, it includes all of us.

Now, who doesn't love a parade? I am praying I am well enough to get out, cause I LOVE A PARADE! Next comes the Car & Bike Show in the parking lot of Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, 11000 Alpharetta Hwy., Roswell. Come see some beautiful old cars & motorcycles. Best of all it's FREE!!!!

Next is our most important meeting to date. On Tuesday, 10/16, we have a very special guest speaker. Lawanda Kornegay, Crime Prevention Specialist of the Roswell Police, will be speaking to all residents about activating our Neighborhood Watch Program. I am so excited about this program! Let's get the flyers out (which are being printed sometime today) to EVERYONE on each of the 8 blocks. Block Captains, I'll be seeing you to deliver them personally & help you.

Then comes the "Taste of Roswell". I've never been, but I do like to eat!!! I'll be there. Sounds like alot of fun.

There are Candidate Forums going on all over Roswell. Make plans to hear them out & see just who will or will not acknowledge us and hear our VOICE. Then by all means GET OUT & VOTE!
